Victor told me about this - "The world premiere of The Godfather, the first of the series of films that chronicle the fictional Corleone crime family, was held on March 14CQ, 1972, in New York City. The movie, directed by Francis Ford Coppola and based on the novel of the same name by Mario Puzo, won three Academy Awards, including best picture and best actor (Marlon Brando)."
